There are many
programs available to webmasters
where click-throughs and/or
purchases result in some
sort of remuneration (at
no additional cost to you).
These are generally known
as affiliate
programs, and I'm sure
you have seen some sites
with
countless
animated graphics touting
everything imaginable.
Like the hardware and software resources
pages, this page contains ONLY companies
with which the GUIguy does
business himself. If we
can point you to a good service
or product and make an extra
buck doing it, great. But
no
company will appear
on this page unless we are
are current or former satisfied
customer. That's a promise.
Period!
If you have any questions,
please contact
us. All external links

Back in 1984, Michael
Dell himself built my first
IBM
computer
in his dorm room at the University
of Texas at Austin! It had
an 8088 CPU, 256K RAM, and
a 10MB hard drive (78 ms)!
His company was called PC's
Limited and I was customer
number 1,999.
Although I have used computers
from a variety of manufacturers,
since 1998 I have been using
Dell computers and can see
using nothing else. Here are
a few links... (They change
dynamically, so check back
frequently...)

Opex
Communications is
a long distance reseller
that buys bulk blocks
of time on the "brand
name" long-line services
(Sprint, MCI, AT&T, etc.)
and then resells them,
passing
a good chunk
of
the discount
to the customer. Since they
are using the major carriers,
the quality is the same
as buying from the "name
brands" but a heck
of a lot less expensive.
The GUIguy has been using
this service for over two
years now. Check out the
details here.
