peoples expectations of Website design change daily
as the technologies evolve. This highly interactive in-depth
session builds on the concepts discussed in User Interface
Design and Usability: Whys and Wherefores. Principles of good
user interface design will be discussed and illustrated in
the context of the Worldwide Web and HTML documents. Page
layout, navigation, aesthetics, color, fonts, readability,
graphics, multimedia, and animations are just some of the
topics that will be covered in this highly interactive session.
This workshop is intended for any level designer/developer
of World Wide Web sites.
At the end of this class, participants will:

Wide Web
- Know the elements of a compelling website
- Understand the phenomenon of changing expectations
- Understand the relationship between compelling website
design and user-centered design principles

- Know when and where it is appropriate to use (or not use)
commonly available tools and widgets
- Have seen more than 50 "live" examples of good
and bad design from the World Wide Web
